JBA & Partner participated in the international committee of JPA International network which was held in Paris at the historical Le Yacht Club on the 24th, 25th and 26th October 2019.

The first day of the committee saw JBA & Partner, being the sole member firm with a presence in Qatar, headed by Partner & Director, Mr. Nader Abou Zahra, make a brief presentation to the committee about Qatar, the economic environment and the tax system followed in the country. Similar briefings and exchanges of information were made by other member firms from across the globe.

On Friday, the general assembly meeting was held followed by a committee discussion on the latest technology development in the profession. The network also presented the innovative software application, JPA iTraveler, a unique travel guide covering 56 countries especially designed for Business Travelers by JPA International. Discussion about the latest amendments in IFRS, Brexit and the related financial reporting challenges, were some of the other highlights of the day.

The final day of the committee featured general networking between the member firms and discussion about exchange clients within the network.

Mr. Nagi K., Manager – Business Advisory, who had attended the committee with Mr. Abou Zahra, noted that the event had been a good opportunity to get acquainted with the member firms of JPA International, facilitating critical exchange of information and development of opportunities on an international scale.
